Regardless of what the specific item is, AFAIK, "Free trial period", historically means, that after the trial period, either you pay for it, or send it back.

Looks like some 'droids have problems reading and/or logical comprehension. What happens when the system evaluation period is up? The client either has to buy the machine or return it. That is not a freebie, that is a common sales practice in the high end computing market.
