If it's true that the Prescotts suck because they have a bazillion stages and a gazillion transistors then why doesn't INTC just drop the hot potato and go with the Dotham you seem so happy with.
It appears that is exactly what Intel is doing. Some NetBurst processors were dropped from the roadmap and desktop derivatives from Dothan have been added. Can't change these things overnight, but the handwriting is on the wall.
