IMO IDARQ has a year to turn this around. Advertisers sign annual agreements per printed book. The big question is whether or not the advertisers have enough confidence in the book that it will generate a positive return. The last price increase by IDEARC sent many advertisers running for the hills. Yellow Book has slashed advertising rates and has increased ad size while IDARC has done the opposite.
I don't think Verizon will take the book back. IMO I think they will renegotiate the terms of the deal it is in there best interest to let IDEARC survive. The economy is too bad to go searching for another buyer and they certainly won't get 9 billion dollar offers for the book at this point.
