aristo, thanks for the link. what can i say about jim cramer..? i'm not the guy's biggest fan, not in the least. but in this case i agree with him. in a time of national peril no one should be allowed to make money shorting the banks as a group.
i'm partially in cash and net long right now with an emphasis on energy and emerging markets. for me FAZ is a way to scoop up a few bucks while the market digests the gains of the last few weeks. so if i woke up monday to hear FAZ was liquidated i'd still survive.
my gut tells me this is not a good time to be making huge bets up or down.
