after being in Nigeria for 2 months the crew have probably gotten out the oars and are helping the AA get out of port as quickly as possible! they probably all got robbed blind and need some fresh air! They have have even rigged up a sail to that drilling derick on deck!

Rig crews dont really care if there is oil or gas or not...especially for this kind of work...they get paid no matter what...there moral increases when there is work...i guess if there is oil...there more work though.

AS for the bonus's..the only bonus's the rig crew gets is if the job is done safetly and efficiently..I did a job offshore trinidad..the whole well went to hell in a handbag...rig broke down..had to fish drill string twice..but all was done safetly and it turned out to be the largest gas discovery in Trinidad history..4th largest ever for BP..named Chacalaca 1. We all got bonus from BP as well as our own company.
