That is why the stock is 4.5 cents and not 45 cents. But of course Citigroup used to be $25 and now it is $2.50, so I guess lack of confidence deflates a stock price by 90%.
I dont know what they could say that would change this except for a PR by the big automaker that confirms that deal....but then in 5 seconds after that PR the stock is 45 cents. So your risk is valued by the discount. That is what you are buying, if you thought you were buying a sure thing you were wrong. Risk a little, wait and see, get the payoff or walk away just a few dollars poorer, which could happen any day of the week with multibillion dollar companies these days with all the volatility......I agree alot of things smell bad about this deal, but again, that is why the stock is 4.5 cents and not 45 cents.
