Forgive me for saying this, but that's a load of crap. AMD has not come up with any sort of quantitative standard for determining ModelHertz, and never did despite promising some "True Performance Initiative" back when QuantiSpeed was first introduced. The benchmark suite is just something AMD threw together after already deciding what model numbers to use for Sempron.

I know I'm stirring up an old debate again, which is probably moot now that Intel has gone down the model number path. But hey, sometimes I think numbers ought to mean something more than what marketing folks wants us to believe.
