Seriously - the fact that extensions are essentially pre-approved and institutionalized leads companies to dither and go for the extension, to the detriment of non-insiders imho.
There should be a penalty for the extensions. At least a fine. Certainly some kind of permanent mark on the CFO's public record. Possibly the CFO's first-born child could be sacrificed or held hostage?
