Ming, no offense to you. I am criticizing the essays themselves.
I believe that both of them are deeply flawed.
The Sweet article has some sort of agenda to push, and is distorting the data.
DNAP themselves stress that very low MLE % need to be "taken with a graon of salt."
Certainly, if someone takes 2.5 and gets 20% Africa or Asian, they have marked genetic affinity to that group.
But low % are questionable. When Northern Europeans and Irish give ~ 1% African, what is that from?
Recent admixture?
Or maybe statistical noise?
Parental distance?
