The trial prosecutor, the lawyer who actually handles the trial portion, is only assigned if the case is actually heading to trial, and on 03/10/2009 Jennifer Reinhard was assigned as the Trial Prosecutor for this case.

Gatorelf, in reply to your PM about the Prosecutor assignment, with rare exceptions, criminal cases are pretty much always handled by a governmental agency like the DA you mentioned, in those offices, there are lawyers(prosecutors in this case), which handle different aspects of the case, all of them have their specialties, ie. research, depositions, or, in this case, trial, if and when one of their cases goes to trial, there is a court formality where the prosectors office will enter the name of the attorney who will present the Governments side in the actual trial, in actuality, there may be many lawyers(prosecutors) involved in assembling the material and strategies used to ultimately convict the perp.
