Huong, this is a poorly written sentence. Maybe changing the placement of the comma helps - "In 2008, Copper King Mining Corp. and Western Utah Copper Co. merged, with Copper King becoming the parent of the wholly owned subsidiary Western Utah Copper, he said." Does this make it more clear?
