well, the years and years that Pandey was at the helm of Xechem - and got paid impressive salaries, as were his relatives - Nicosan didn't take off.
I know, this opinion is not popular, but we have to be realistic.
I remember seeing a foto of an expensive NMR-machine (actually a superconducting magnet from Oxford instruments) at Xechem, Nigeria. Such a piece of equipment is terribly expensive and is worth nothing without a steady supply of liquid helium and liquid Nitrogen to operate it. That was not provided for - and is not easy to get hold of in Nigeria.
The 'old' management was probably not as corrupt as the new one seems to be. But it was not very efficient in producing, marketing, selling the product. Remember those years?
In my opinion the government will find a new producer and hopefully the suffering will get their medicine. I am pretty sure that the shareholders will get nothing.
Testing times for those, who combined the hope for the suffering with the hope for personal wealth...
