Can anybody tell me what it is?


AMD is leaning on their customers for system validation. The Barcelona test escape was was an instance of a rushed product; this seems more like a symptom of insufficient internal validation. The BIOS/board manufacturers definitely don't have the resources to do full validation, so it gets to the previewer's hands with multiple bugs that have to be fixed.

i don't pay too much attention to trials and tribulations of folks who attempt to run out of spec. however i wonder what the "agesa code from amd" is?

the only thing i get from this is that amd's "little" changes from their previous chipsets am2 to am2+ to am3 must not be "so little."

any info on the d0 core i7 stepping?

The Message: AMD should stop spending $50 million plus a year on trial lawyers and spend some of that money on getting its buggy products to work. More engineers fewer $600 an hour lawyers should do the job.
