The pace in beginning to quicken
With the advent of higher and higher compression algorithms, and an affordable increase in processing power, (low architectural overhead) the future looks bright and beautiful. It just gets better everyday.
Satellite Radio (Digital Satellite Radio) affords one, continuous radio stations from coast to coast, without having to change channels or press buttons. Even in the Grand Canyon. (Sirius/XM-Radio).
Some Airlines now offer Satellite TV on their flights. HBO anyone?
How long then will it be before we are all driving smart cars, that report on Traffic, Navigation, with Satellite Radio/TV/Internet, all on board using real "ON-Time" Entertainment, (Cellphone wireless cable movies, internet, etc) all for one low-discounted package fee, coast to coast service.
No more purchasing of media (DVD's etc), just rent/lease the use... Ownership optional, but not required.
