HhH: Responding to your post here yesterday:

"Howard: Matt thinks yer me..."

I doubt it. However, he apparently is willing to do what Snackman apparently has demanded so far.

"because the cult-meister told him so. Of course even the cretin Snackman is not dumb enough to actually believe that. He is only insisting on it in an effort to enlist your assistance in determining my identity."

I don't know if Snackman believes it or not. If he believes it still, it probably isn't a matter of intelligence (or lack thereof). More likely IMO he is too impassioned to use whatever intelligence he has.

The same issue arises about Wave itself. I still don't understand Snackman's cheerleading. Is it because passion has overridden thought? Is he really a trader? Is he getting compensated (directly or indirectly) by Wave? (I don't know the answers to any of these questions. I try to understand others' motivations to interpret their behavior. The questions I ask are to try to imagine him in different roles to see if his behavior would match how an imaginary person might react in that role. So far, nothing really fits very well IMO, but the first is the closest fit.)

Have you ever read "The True Believer," by Eric Hoffer? As I see it, it seems to describe Wave and the Wavoids situation. As far as who are the manipulators and who are the manipulated, I'm not certain. But I make a distinction between calling the Wavoids a "cult" or "true believers." The latter seems more accurate to me, based on what I know.

Does Snackman really believe that I am HhH?

I believe that either he really believes it, or he really is so unwilling to consider how ridiculous the idea is, that he is doing everything possible to avoid facing the truth. Here's how I come to this conclusion:

If Snackman really believed that I am HhH, why would he be so reluctant to meet me, especially since he so much wants to know who HhH is? The only plausible answer to me is that he wants to get me to admit that I am HhH to prove that I'm a liar, which would simultaneously impeach both Howard B. Golden and HamhockHowie. Since I continue to insist that I am not HhH and I don't know who HhH is, a meeting with me alone would not impeach either of us. On the contrary, a meeting with me alone would make it almost impossible for him to keep maintaining that I am HhH, since I clearly do not behave like HhH, either in postings or in person. However, it is easier to ignore the facts when you are simply looking at our postings. In person, as I believe Bingoman will attest, I am so clearly not the person who could post what HhH posts that the misidentification is a farce.

"And why do they care? Simple. They believe that if they know who I am, they can figure out a way to get me to shut up. And getting me to shut up is a fairly high priority among the cultists, apparently."

You were right about this in the beginning, that is, when the original misidentification occurred on RB. However, they know precisely who I am, and they can't shut me up! I doubt they expected to get me when they tried to get you! How ironic! Similarly, their treatment of you and me was part of what got Greg S to follow them. He's another big problem for their "feel good" program!

"You are wasting your time, Howard. Matt is going to back Snackman until it's no longer in his personal interest to do so. Call a spade a spade. Or in this case a whore."

You are probably right. However, I am giving Matt this chance. I'm not very hopeful, based on his unwillingness to respond to me so far. You and I are both "economic prisoners" here IMO, since Matt's only reason for keeping us in jail appears to be his economic self-interest.

By the way, I hope you can respond (either here or privately) to at least some of my questions in #msg-3622074.

Regards,

Howard
