According to the U.S. Geological Survey, 90 tons of new and old scrap gold was recycled in 2007, equal to about 47 percent of reported consumption. Recycling of gold and other precious metals can take place in many ways, but one growing source comes from people who are recycling their broken or unwanted jewelry.

At $900 an ounce what does that add up too (HUGE BUSINESS)
