SmartMoney- Not cut but perhaps too subtle and quick to be significant. What is significant is that Steve was just completely gone from the show for the next hour even though they showed him present at the end of that clip.
What I suspect Steve was getting at is there are some compelling numbers that tell us the consumer is going to blow up next--that consumer spending can't hold up. I'm reading between the lines, and this is my guess.
Can anyone direct me to some good, current data on current consumer debt levels, debt-to-income levels, or any numbers or charts that relate? I'm familiar with the Grandfather report.
