Cytori just did a PIPE according to the approximate formula outlined by Dr. Tracy... raising money through a PIPE brokered by Piper j. to raise around 12-14 million dollars. The price of their stock was at 2 bucks and change. There was done at the current stock price, but there was actually more warrants issued than stock issued. It was like 55 % or so warrants and 45 % stock issued. Using roughly a 50 percent warrants to stock issued formula and we would have about 4 million bucks. It may now be too late to do a PIPE in any event. I'm not sure. Still, there is considerable upside here: either Varney pulls the rabbit from the hat and concludes a deal or two in short order, or, more likely, a pharma scoops up Cortex for a fixed premium at 50-60 cents or more. Interestingly, such a deal might be in shareholder interests, but not in management's interest whose options only become worth something at price points well above a dollar. This situation could be rectified by repricing the options as part of a buyout scheme.

I have way too much , my mother and brother own it too-a few of my best friends, and it's obviously been painfull, I did buy a smidge @ .27. Now I had a conversation with the CEO who told me , should SA come thru there would likely be tremendous interest. RD is in my opinion going to be a nice niche product and it is going to get partnered-whether CX-1942 or 717 get's used is not my guess to make. But something for Apnea's would be like a blockbuster indication, and garner alot of immediate interest, but we can't for a minute quantify it's likelihood of success. Mark called it swinging for the fences, considering he's British and baseball isn't British ...well if we hit it and it's clear, it goes up alot. Either way it's way underpriced because I think ADHD is still going to work out and someday Neurodegenerative. We have had bad luck and no sugar daddy, and this is ummmm....what most refer to as a Financial Crisis. I don't think the market rise appreciably until we can (immediately??) reverse the economic strain. I feel a slower economy may be "it", very little if any growth in consumption for several years-if so, there is much more downsizing and reduction in corporate overhead ahead-but some securities reflect this or more than this an could be traded, the ones down 80 or 90%....JMVHO. None on this site was more bearish than me on the overall market, I obviously have been wrong on Cortex for now.
