The contract with Transocean requires the Deepwater Pathfinder to drill four wells in total with a minimum commitment of 120 days.

The Transocean contract anticipates that the Deepwater Pathfinder will start drilling operations in the fourth quarter of 2009 once it has completed a drilling campaign for a third party operator in Nigeria.

The Addax wells could be divided between Kina, Block 4, OPL 291 and other JDZ blocks??

It's great to have the Deepwater Pathfinder signed to drill 4 wells beginning in October!
According to Addax, we will get drilling results about 60 days after drilling begins, so we should have drilling results (hopefully from Kina) right before Christmas!! :-)

Thank you for your wonderfully informative post 'Ruby1100'. While thrilled, one thing would have made the PR even better...mentioning ERHE of course and in this context..."Addax and its partner ERHE will commence the drilling of Addax's interest in OPL 291 and their joint interest in both the Kina prospect in Block 4 of the Joint Development Zone (JDZ) and their recently acquired stakes in OPL 321 and OPL 323.

Well, what do you think of that. It appears JCG took my challenge to heart and has FINALLY succeeded in getting a contract for a ROO. Congratulations to JCG. Now, please try to get it there before the end of the year. The PR says 4Q and I understand that in JCG SPEAK to mean December 09. Good enough so long as more delays do not slip the date AGAIN.
