No offense taken. Note that all of my TA posts have been couched in probability terms, not absolutes. Without question, we are in a free-fall condition now. Markets and COR alike. When breakouts and other TA indicators fail it is not an indictment of the theories, only that conditions in this case acted against the percentages. This is much more likely at market tops and bottoms than it is with the normal trading swings of a stock or commodity.

To be clear, I agree with those who question the value of TA with thinly-traded, low capitalized stocks like COR. It works best on market averages, heavily-traded EFTs and large caps. That said, when I see action like we did today with COR, with heavy selling during the first half of the day, followed by recovery on equal volume the second half I am encouraged. There are as many investors and traders who believe there is an upside to share price as there are those who see only downside movement. The flush-out is healthy and more positive than negative, IMO. I am less inclined to worry about where the stock closes than the fact that buyers came in during the afternoon hours and bought COR.

(coming from a guy that had over 800K in his 401k at 36 y/o 2 years ago, and now it's down under 150K)..

asuhowe,
Old buddy. Thank you for admitting this. I'm sorry you lost that much, but it makes my 50% decline in my IRA to your same endpoint much more tolerable. I can't imagine how much bitterness you must feel at your loss. But, you're younger than me and probably have a little more hope going forward?

Good luck. I hope you make it all back soon. Sincerely,
MF4
