#46944 RE: reaper21 #46934

Reaper,

I really believe one explanation is that management simply doesn't get it. This is their first experience with a nationwide public company. They and their friends/relatives have a lot of money and they are used to being able to talk with folks face to face.

That's fine if you are running some little blank check corp, but now they have shareholders who (gasp) live outside of the NYC metropolitan area. Could it be that they simply don't realize how bad they look to someone judging only by their PRs and filings? Every time I have contacted SM, he has seemed supremely confident, even smug. I don't think he realizes that from where I sit he looks like a buffoon who's in over his head -- or a rinky-dink scam artist.

Listen, if someone said that about me or about a friend, I would be PISSED as all get out! But then at some point I would that maybe I might also ask whether there was something I could do to correct that perception. Well, the company needs to wake up to the fact that face to face contacts with shareholders and back channel rumors are not sufficient when you aspire to be a large public company.

Maybe this is just one area of "growing pains" as the company matures into what we all hope it can be. But the sooner management hears this message the sooner they can fix it.

EXPLAIN WHAT IN THE HECK IS GOING ON!! PLEASE!!
