Uhhh, the mass market who buy cheap Celerons do so because it's Intel Inside. Do the ones who buy Athlon XPs do so because it's Amd Me ? :-) AMD has only ever gained against Intel when it has had a *clear* performance or/and price advantage, the average buyer will look at these similarly priced, similar performing processors and say I will go with the safe and known market leader thanks. K8 Semprons will perform better than Celeron Ds in the same ways and areas that A64s perform better than P4Es with similar results for sales and asps. It really is a no-brainer to me but hey maybe AMD are feeling lucky ... as Clint would say 'well do ya punk ?' :)
