If they are finding free gold "nuggets" lying around all over the place.. Drills wouldn't be the best way to pick them up. However, if they are finding free gold nuggets laying around, I too would be worried..

They are not. I feel comfortable saying so from what I know. They'll need to prove that it is now, and was a viable concern. If they do they'll have options to consider and safety of marouding bandits most likely won't be one of them.. imo

You mean the fed and if you didnt know or notice banks stopped useing guards along time ago cost inefective/prohibitive .
