#74951 RE: friendlyfred #74950

Given what's known about the settlements,

that roughly $1 million net goes to edig per settlement so far, the market certainly seems to expect more of them. Given the number of shares outstanding and an estimated jump in stock price due to settlements of about .07, that would mean a market expectation of 21 (or so) settlements of that size in total. (I assume they are all fairly soon, so no discounting).

So I'd be surprised if there were NOT more settlements.

However, unless chuck329 knows something the market doesn't (meaning that his forecast is better than the market's), it's hard to expect 180 such settlements. If that were true, the stock would truly be worth probably .60 per share.

So what we can say for sure is that the market does not expect 180 settlements of that size. It would therefore be interesting to learn what that figure -- 180 -- is based on and why that would be a better estimate than the one the market is using.
