From the EFF's perspective though, no matter if Neomedia busts or not, the patents are assets that will not go away. They'll be held by one entity or another until they expire.

NEOM will survive, there's going to be a lot of open check books ready to sign over to NEOM.

Sit back and watch the fire works... once the royalty/licence fees come in... this time next year there will be lots of investors wish they brought in.

Jonesie - If Jesus Christ were here today, someone out there would try to sue him/her for being a Jew/Christian/whatever, preaching on public property or what ever else others wanted to "get around", just as someone else has the right to "try" to get around NEOM's patents.

Millions of people have/can/will since JC/AC, worked around him/her with other religions or take a stand for no religion - because it is our constitutional right to bring suit, or work around others, etc, etc.

Anyone can bring suit against another if they want to pay/can pay for losing or find an attorney, or represent themselves, etc, etc BECAUSE, this patent reexam win did not change any one's constitutional rights to bring suit if they can pay the price for infringement on NEOM's patents.

If you have studied/researched all of EFF cases, you would understand the significance of this win for NEOM - As the EFF is destructive and, not always and sometimes never, winning on the point of law, forcing good ideas and patents to disappear, as they continue to force good start up companies out of business, so the big guy can take over and remove competition which is totally opposite of the public good image the EFF attempts to project.

Please accept the fact that this patent win was a damn good day for NEOM and historical loss for the EFF. Research the EFF cases and you will understand.
