Someone once pointed out the fact that often times the errors in spelling (and IMO more likely so) occur at the news wire that is publishing the PR.

Keith isn't just 4th generation oil patch... he's got the college degrees to back it up, not to mention his time working on Wall Street as an oil analyst (not sure about the title) or a major firm.
He's not just self-taught, learning only from Pa, and Grand-pa while they all sit around in the overalls chewing a piece of straw, and covered in black gold.

Rather than check the spelling, check the geography. I wouldn't assume Keith has mispelled words simply because one doesn't recognize them or are easily able to identify them.
