i'm always very skeptical of any performance comparisons based on overclocking results and predictions of future competitive posture based on those comparisons.

the simple fact of the matter (based on years of experience at intel) is that little is left on the table in terms of real manufacturable performance and reliability. the reliability part seems to be glibly overlooked by the oc crowd who naively measure reliability based on lockups with no thought to electromigration, signal margins, etc.

overclocking claims and comparisons based on them mean bupkis, nada, zilch when it comes to paying the bills at a semico.

the real story is the performance on what is shipping to specs and what the quarterly financial reports say.
