You said, the dems and Obama have used this downturn to enact their own ideologies. This "stimulus" may or may not work, but this country didn't need ANY more of the previous administrations' ideologies shoved down our throats either. We needed a change from the last eight years, BIG TIME. Weather Obama is it, we will see.
