You think so, You could be a sirius stockholder who never gets told anything, no communication from the CEO and if you call their investor phone # they basically tell you zippo. Or you could be a Sherwin Williams holder who doesn't get any information at all except and occasional press release after the fact . These 2 one in trouble like edex and one which is one of the best run companies in the world. There's some companies that just don't make a lot of things known to the public. Doesn't make it illegal. One may thing its wrong but it's done all the time .
