The easiest way to get to Dow 40,000 would be to replace Citicorp with Berkshire Hathaway (BRK-A).

The Dow is a price weighted index, so an $8,000 move up on Berkshire would probably result in Dow 40,000 with BRK-A while only moving BRK-A up about 10%..
