All stocks are plunging on the vagueness of Tarp 2. As to your comment another 8% of AMD shareholders better get their fingers out if they still want a viable company although going by what another company I know recently did they can just change the quorum number needed if push comes to shove.

One comment I saw is that shareholders did not get their proxy statements until last week. However, I would believe that most of those would default toward approval. So, on that note, I would assume there were a lot of NO votes.

Speculation on the reason?

Arab connection?
Real men have fabs?
Liked the old plan for Albany?
Don't think the fabless model works?
Most of the AMD shareholders were Intel shareholders using AMD as a hedge? :)

i thought amd was overwhelmingly institutionally owned. i would expect that those institutions would rather crisply execute on such an issue as opposed to retail investors.
