Rich, you are correct as stated on several ocasions and by several posters the people of Berlin will be able to voice their opinion for or against the Laidlaw plant. We live in a democracy and that is the democratic way. What I was saying is that the biased town council will not make the final decision in the case of Berlin as happened with the town of Elicottville. Berlin is not a victim of Laidlaw and Laidlaw will not be a victim of Berlin. The state will decide what is best given the current situation. Laidlaw is doing the right things and as long as that is the case I support them. Bottom line. With the issue of Ellicottville my opinion is that the case was draging on without a resolution and Laidlaw had to consolidate efforts on Berlin. Time will tell. Has nothing to do with Berlin.
