#6751 RE: STEHSUCKER #6750

I must agree with you that the idea of Peter being an evil person who doesn't have the best interest of this company at heart is not at all the case and if anyone out there really believes that, then they should cash in their chips and find another table to play at. I appreciate the fact that you recognize that SCMI still being a non-reporting company is a serious issue (if not the most serious issue of all). You make a few jumps that I'm not prepared to make, however, I don't find them to be far fetched by any means either. In reference to Sony and BMG merging, this does seem to be more and more of a likelihood, but I'm not counting Sony until the ink dries on the merger. I do believe that Apple will some way or another have to play ball with us depending on how many companies we end up with in the long run (also since we are working out our IPOD compatibility issues), but again, I'm not one to count my chickens till their hatched (and even then they're only baby chicks). Ditto for EMI (although if you did note in my last post, I did say that our newly formed relationship with them is definately important). Darknoise will definately be a welcomed addition to Mediamax and will all but seal the deal for the rest of the labels in my opinion, but (and a very large but) we still have no clue as to if the technology really works. Plus, we haven't completed our deal to buy them out (to the best of my knowledge at least). There are alot of "ifs" and "buts" here and we should all know that things can change at the drop of a hat in the business world. There are a lot of loose ends for SCMI to tie, but as you stated, this is a waiting game. That is why I'm actually kind of happy that Peter hasn't opened his trap in while and promised something that won't be delivered on time. I'm prepared to wait this one out as long as they keep the broken promises to a minimum.
