Kia...Maybe you should contact Dan Wesson and see if they would like to fix your gun if it was yours, if not tell your friend they should. It definitely sounds as if it was not up to their standards. I know they have been through a few owners and I know some of their earlier pieces were not always the best. This is the impression I have gotten from the various articles I read on them.
