I have a Dan Wesson Model 15 with a 10-inch barrel and a 2x Leupold scope on it. Understand that I am not a great pistol shot, but it will group 240 grain hollowpoints in 3" at 100 yards. It is the gun I used to kill the mountain lion, and I have taken a few deer with it. This is not a self defense weapon, but purely a hunting gun. I am well satisfied with it.

I personally don't own a Dan Wesson but, have heard nothing but good things about them from both friends and Competition Shooters on the various shooting shows on The Outdoor Channel, TNN, ESPN, Fox Sports, etc.

I own a Dan Wesson .22 built on the .357 frame and love it.

I have never really cared for the S&Ws, preferring the Colts instead. IMHO, the DW is more like the Colts. I just like the design and the way they fit my hand better.
