I'm hoping that it does, but have no knowledge of course. I think it's more likely we're in this than either the Creative or Samsung device (despite the Samsung's appearance which I think looks like the Digeplayer).
Apex distributes a lot of mainstream products like TVs, DVD players, VCRs, Cameras, etc. A portable video player like this one seems very outside the norm for them and rather cutting edge. Apparently they're trying to enter new markets and experiment a bit (such as with the ApeXtreme PVR/Game console). I'm assuming that they would have needed someone else to engineer/design a device such as MP-2000. I think it's reasonable to think they might well have chosen EDIG. We'll see.
I'll be watching closely either way. The Apex MP-2000 seems very nicely featured and competitively priced. I'd actually like to own one whether EDIG designed it or not.
