I'm not sure, but in 2002, a man named Mark Ellison was indicted in CA for securities fraud, working under the name of Pacific Capital (dot) Com. He was selling shares of stock to suckers, for MRI machines, that never existed...They had offices in Newport Beach, CA, back then...and sold securities with a 40% sales commission. Let me tell you....I found a recent Craig's listing, and I managed to save it, before Craigslist deleted it:
