Remember a very key factor here! CLL and Melanoma are world wide cancers! They are not exclusive to the U.S.! Approvals by the respective drug departments of Governments around the world could easily pass this drug for use in their country. This is very common in many drugs which show these kinds of results! The FDA always plays the last fiddle on many drug approvals!! Europe is very famous for passing any drug which shows signs of survival in cancer victims. The results supplied to the FDA are very impressive, says my oncologist buddy, and he sees no reason when Genta presents it in the right manner for them not to get approval in the U.S. A 10% increase in length of survival is significant for cancer patients!!

Just last year alone Celgene was granted 6 patents
with references to oblimersen(genesense). Everything is
documented in the patents.
