2million or so The Company's "Mockingbird" Gold Mine is a good example. Anaconda found anomalous gold throughout its 2 square mile claim block. Anaconda viewed the property as having 1,000,000+ ounce gold potential. The project was not terminated based on its merit. Rather, Anaconda's corporate parent, oil giant ARCO, shut down Anaconda because of environmental liabilities at its Butte, Montana copper mine.

The Company's "Ambassador" Gold Mine is a similar situation, UNC was encouraged by its preliminary work on the project and viewed the gold deposit as having 1,000,000 ounce potential. Its corporate parent (GE) decided to refocus the company on uranium, and the gold projects were jettisoned.

HGLC. Deciding whether GOLD is worth digging up?

(First I’d like to say, I really enjoy being here forming with fellow Investrologists.
I love all the debates here, which I think is very healthy for the stock.)

-Now on to the comment:
Re: Did they loose the million or so ounces that was proven to be in and around the "Mockingbird" that was published by another firm? I didn't see that they did yet? Just thinking here, that they know it is there, just that they are trying to figure if it is profitable to extract it, yet

*Thus making it an oxymoron, providing that being the case. IMO.

AT or about $900 no wait,,, let’s say, $800 an ounce, with the assumed “Proven” presence of about a million ounces, lets do the math regarding worthiness of extraction.

1 million ounces at $800 an ounce,,, ya know?, let go further, $700 an ounce, the US-Dollar amount “Proven” to be sitting in the ground, awaiting extraction is about $700,000,000. That’s 700 million US-Dollars.
(Do you honestly believe the entire mining campaign costs that much?)

Couple this with the “Current” free monies they’ve already accumulated over the years from shares they’ve sold, I'd say it’s very much “WORTH” the effort.

Yet alone the million more share likely sold at a higher PPS “Once they have a nugget IN HAND.

The 700 millions would look like a welfare check.

And this is just from the “Proven” Mockingbird Mine.

They “SAY” they have GOLD potential in others.

If I wasn’t sure of what was claimed to have been proven, nor am I able to Validate it, I worry more about whether the “GAMBLE” was worth it.

{Just thinking here!)
