abobe reader 8.1.0

get the same error mssg trying to uninstall or reinstall or repair

Have Windows Vista


This is the Uninstall mssg:


"Error 1316.A network error occurred while attempting to read from the file C:\Windows\Installer\AcroRead.msi"

So tried to load Abode reader 9 also ..got the same extact mssg on the install
