No, you can bet they are looking out for their best interest.
Might be nothing, but seems odd and I'm not buying the arguement that they are looking out for my best interests.
A few months from now when all the shoes have fallen they don't want you including them in your lawsuit. They want to make damn sure you know that what you are doing is not in any way condoned or supported by them. When you or anyone else realizes what has happened and why you lost all of your money, the first reaction is to look for someone else to blame. Etrade is making sure that they are not going to be on that list.
