Billy, CycleDude. thank God you guys came on board again- for a while I was thinking this board was just gonna be an index for scientificif abstracts about preclinical findings.
That being said- its great to hae an exchange of ideas regarding investing.
I've posted this on other boards but I'll say it here. I think we are on a huge expansive tear. The building and construction and real estate boom here on the west coast of Fl is just unbeleivable. I drive the Interstate from St Pete to Tampa 3X a week- all I see is new cond'os ( most with a starting price of 250K and up) new office buildings, new apartment complexes and new housing developments. It's just outta sight. Now I don't know if that's a local phenonemon or not- I have not been to Youngstown, Pittsburg, or West Virginia in years. All this construction provides jobs and needs for more goods- telecomunication equipment furniture computers etc etc. That's the optimistic part
If this will translate into increased stock prices or not is yet to be seen. We have had a pretty good crash already ( I've been devastated) We may have a final sell off or selling climax, then we will probbly get ready for the next great bull market. If everybody is buying realestate- less money going into the market- who knows,? Me personally, very little left in the market IRA's etc- thank God for Social Security, a part-time Federal job with a seond pension any time I want it, and thank God for my backyard garden- It keeps me fed most of the year. Gotta go- finish cleaning it up and get ready for the fall planting. Have a good day all
Just opinion
