#15296 RE: mingwan0 #15287

Ming - All this tremendous research in only four (4) years since the sequencing of the human genome... Fascinating that DNAP has been there from the start of this amazing revolution...! Must be something about a "vision" someone had...lol!

And with all the recent announcements of specific disease genes (single genes) already being found and becoming molecular drug targets, I think it's safe to say that the human genome revolution is well under way and DNAP is moving from a small unknown tributary into the mainstream of pharmacogenomics (dare I say, even leading the flow..?).

In this article you posted, there are two indications that AncestrybyDNA and DNA Witness will end up with 16 populations...?

"The third investigation of this thesis looks at linkage disequilibrium and haplotype patterns in 16 populations."

"The fourth project investigates the global allele frequencies, as estimated from 16 populations, of non-synonymous SNPs (nsSNPs) and their predicted functionality."

In Gabriel's recent CEO newsletter he states: "Our goal is to expand our current 4 categories of inherited genetic markers to 8 and possibly 16 categories."

Is this another hmmmmm...?

God Bless and take care,

Robert

PS - Everyone have a happy and safe 4th of July weekend...!
