Regarding 32nm conversion...
The first factory to go will be D1D, which even though it is a "development" factory, it is a full sized fab... even larger than anything AMD has. Until the 32nm process is certified, the cost for any wafers on that process go to either R&D or straight to COGs... nothing is shown as inventory. This results in a lower gross margin during the first few quarters of a year when a new process will be deployed (odd years), with higher GM in Q4 and the following Q1 as those wafers are sold with zero associated cost. We have seen this cycle quite a few times now.

Has Intel published anything on 32nm factory plans?
