Bull I think you are missing my point entirely..

I could give a rats ass if neither the boys or the girls were given scholarships for athletics. To me that is not the purpose of College and I think athletics has contributed in the watering down of admittance requirements..after all we can't pass on that 5 star recruit because he is dumber than a rock...

I understand the reason for the athletics..Entertainment and Income, oh and some will say for prestige. Make no mistake I am a fan of College sports..I just feel the priorities in Colleges have gone sadly awry.

I could pontificate on this all day about how few actually make it to the pros and so forth but I think this serves to give you my view..Bottom line College should be for Academics first..and I just do not see that anymore..JMO
