Agreed cl001 .. this truly is a gift w/ SMC. And I've warned about "being cute" at these ridiculously cheap prices (SMC is in a far better position now than it was when the stock was north of $2). Perhaps I should heed my own advice? :)
A few quick things: remember the marker trade yesterday at .37? Here we are back to that level and there is a big seller..just keep in mind. Did anyone play the arbitrage opportunity that I mentioned earlier between LGCFF/SMC? The gap has been closed so a few people must have pulled out their calculators as well. :) At minimum it was an easy .015 cents.
Currently I'm mainly in cash and expecting another drop in gold shares (only slightly lower than yesterday's low). This is just sideways/down scare-tactics to shake out the weakhands .. and provide opportunities for stealth entry. My strategy? Wait for the fishline drop that'll most certainly happen .. these things don't end in a whimper! tops and bottoms.
SMC/LRR/Kinross: I keep reading Kinross might end up paying 100M for the Mexican property held by LRR. But that´s HIGHER than the whole enchilada!!! ( LRR+ SMC) So say in a few months even with LRR/SMC at US 150 M market cap it could be more accretive to Kinross to go for a full takeover instead. I am offbase here?
