As I have gotten older and my reflexes have slowed, it is much more difficult for me to jump to conclusions as I once did. I tend to need to take a little time to get my head around a situation. Perhaps someone would be kind enough to clear up a few questions.
To start with, the impression I am getting is that there is a shared belief that there is a significant short position in this stock. Although no one knows what the actual OS is, it is assumed the large volumes of shares traded MUST include a large number of nakedly shorted shares. IS that correct?
Secondly, although the participants of this board collectively own several hundreds of millions of shares AND they are all being closely held, still the volumes are quite high but the pps never rises. Is that correct?
Thirdly, there is an expectation that sometime in the near future there will be an event that will require the short position to be closed out. Is that right? What kind of event? Naked shorting seems to be a topic on almost every stock board, regardless of the exchange. What mechanism is specific to this event?
Finally why does a company with an apparently legitimate business plan have a capitalized value so low (assuming a realistic OS)? Why doesn't someone buy it up? It would seem to be a much more viable gamble than hoping for a 'short squeeze'.
