I think your money management ideas are very sound. I am aggravated that I put 3K in in September and really didn't learn my strat until I was at half that....however, building back up from $600, and now from the lower depths has really been a good challenge for me and taught me that playing small and riding them out is really the best way. My two worst trades when I started from 3K were a loss on 15 minis and on 20 minis....if I had been small, I would have been totally fine.
I did double the practice account in the last week (from 6K to 14K) and the live one is up 20% on the week, so I guess it was good nonetheless.
I think the U/J is starting to form part of a bottom, particularly since the overwhelming trade is long. Japan isn't going to let the yen continue to gain on the dollar that way....
