This is common, actually, and 9 times out of 10, it's a problem with the OEM. At this point, Intel has to reproduce the problem on their own hardware, and depending on how much of a corner case the issue is, it could take some time. Other times when this happens, the news never gets reported and business goes on as usual. When the media gets drift of a possible recall, however, they'll make much ado about nothing. Sure it's possible that this may require a recall, but it's far too early to tell, and speculation by the pundits is almost always wrong in this case.

While it seems annoying, it does not seem to be the end of the world, it is a manufacturing problem.... it does seem as though the world and dog really hits Intel extremely hard... Maybe Semi will be able to explain this in more detail as he's an engineer, if not, it seems as though it was boards that went out to reviewers and some got out, maybe a weeks worth as the OEM is delaying for one week. It's annoying, but not the end of the world.

On a lighter note... sometimes you have to wonder
