Even if your knowledge is "old," it seems to me that since condensation is nothing new in this application that your knowledge is almost certainly relevant. Would you be kind enough to share with us--in detail--how one addresses condensation problems in an assembly of this type?
We manufactured many products of this nature and they did not require any vacuum.I beleave they would have tested for this in an invironmental chamber.The electronics will give off some internal heat.Think about this most wrist watches are sealed this way and do not have a problem.
